Challenge: To create excitement about everyday household items

When selling every day items like appliances, it can be difficult to grab a customer’s attention. Ads that list products, features and prices provide customers with details needed to make decisions, but do not necessarily evoke the emotion a 54 year old company deserves.

Solution: Communicasting launched an extensive “Make it Famous Tate in ‘08” Campaign.

Since 2008 is an election year and ’08 rhymes with Tate, a fictional political campaign was a perfect way to highlight the Famous Tate appliances in a creative way. What if an old appliance had to argue its merits against a new appliance? Executing any successful campaign, whether political or advertising, requires wide media coverage. After developing the “candidates,” a series of TV and radio commercials gave life to appliances as they debated. Outdoor billboards, newspaper ads and in-store signage reinforced the “vote for a new appliance” message. An attractive and interactive web site completed the imaginary campaign and helped connect customers with the Famous Tate brand in a fun way.

Result: Not all precincts are in, but the polls show “new appliances” ahead by a wide magin.

Acme’s new image was also applied to their service vehicles to take advantage of the daily public exposure.

Acclaim Kitchen Design

Challenge: To change unflattering brand identity

Acclaim Kitchen Design has been making beautiful kitchens for over 20 years. Their client list of home-owners and home-builders is filled with satisfied customers. Unfortunately, their brand image did not match the quality of their work. Uninspiring and outdated was the bad news for Acclaim -- but Communicasting had the solution.

Solution: Communicasting produced a new logo, new identity, radio commercials, TV commercials, a new web site, outdoor exposure and collateral.

By creating a new logo and extending the Acclaim name to include what they do in addition to what they sell, their brand was created. Collateral, which included brochures, business cards and letter head, helped complete the transformation.

Using the new Acclaim Kitchen Design brand in radio commercials, TV commercials and the updated web site brought new life and new traffic to their thriving business. Wrapping their delivery trucks was the next step to highlight their new brand and attract new customers.

Result: Sales have increased 37%.

Owner Frank Caballero reports a 37% increase in sales after the first quarter.
